KIMBERLY BERGGREN, PA-C

Kimberly Berggren, PA-C has over 17 years of experience in emergency medicine, hospital medicine, cardiology, and electrophysiology.  She has lived and worked as a heart doctor in Okaloosa County since 2012 and has been with Okaloosa Heart & Vascular Center logo since 2019. 


Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Midwestern State University graduating Summa Cum Laude and then her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She received the Eugene A. Stead, MD Award presented to the graduating PA student who best exemplifies the profession’s ideals of courage, humility and wisdom when applying technical skills, scientific knowledge and human understanding to the care of the suffering.  She is certified by the NCCPA and has earned a certificate of added qualification (CAQ) in both emergency medicine and hospital medicine.  She is currently studying at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and is expected to graduate in December 2021 with her Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) degree in advanced clinical practice with an emphasis in cardiac electrophysiology and an additional certification in healthcare leadership and administration. 


Kimberly works closely with the electrophysiology physicians to treat patients with arrhythmias.  She has a particular interest in ensuring patients understand their medical condition and options available to ensure each person receives individualized and appropriate treatment. She works at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center and sees patients in the clinic. She cares for patients before and after their procedures, counsels patients on necessary lifestyle changes to improve the success rate of medical treatment, and is involved in the cardiac device clinic.
