Interventional Cardiology

As an interventional cardiologist, I specialize in treating cardiovascular diseases like atherosclerosis, congestive heart failure, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, atrial fibrillation/other arrhythmias, and focusing on coronary interventional procedures such as coronary stenting and complex coronary interventions. I am particularly passionate about helping patients with coronary artery disease, especially with acute myocardial infarction, acute pulmonary embolism, and pulmonary hypertension as they are common causes of death and disability in the United States. I also treat venous disease with endovascular techniques.

I take the time to listen to my patients’ concerns and encourage them to take part in the decision-making process so we can reach the best possible outcome and quality of life. A team approach is in my best abilities to determine the best therapies for my patients.

I also enjoy rounding with the medical students, residents and cardiology fellows.

When I am away from work, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, and biking.

I have earned my medical degree from the Lebanese University Faculty of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon. I have completed my internal medicine residency, geriatric fellowship and cardiology fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, NY and interventional fellowship at SUNY Downstate Health Science Center in Brooklyn, NY.

I am board certified in internal medicine, Geriatric medicine, nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.

At the completion of my training, I joined a multi-specialty group in Toledo, OH then I moved to Columbus, OH where I was a teaching faculty of the DO and cardiology teaching programs for 2 years; then, in June 2021, I joined the cutting edge Okaloosa Heart and Vascular practice in Northwest Florida.
